Baltic Studies Conference, koja se održala od 15. do 17. lipnja 2023. u prostorima Sveučilišta Vytautas Magnus u Kaunasu u Litvi, bavila se temom “Turning Points: Values and Conflicting Futures in the Baltics”. Dr. sc. Caroline Hornstein Tomić, znanstvena savjetnica Instituta Ivo Pilar, sudjelovala je u panelu “Challenges and opportunities of transnational migration” s prezentacijom “Remigration, development, and social change in Lithuania and Croatia – a nexus (un-) wanted?”

Zajedno sa partnerima iz Litve, Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva, te Poljske, predstavila je i knjigu Returning – Remitting – Receiving: social remittances of transnational (re)migrants to Croatia, Lithuania, and Poland, koja je objavljena ranije u lipnju 2023. godine (Vienna, Verlag, 2023).

“Turning Points: Values and Conflicting Futures in the Baltics” was this year’s topic of the Baltic Studies Conference, which took place from June 15 – 17, 2023 at the Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas/ Lithuania. Dr.sc. Caroline Hornstein Tomic, Senior Researcher at the Ivo Pilar Institute, participated in a conference panel on “Challenges and opportunities of transnational migration” with a presentation titled “Remigration, development, and social change in Lithuania and Croatia – a nexus (un-) wanted?”

Together with partners from Lithuania, the United Kingdom, and Poland she also presented the edited volume: Returning – Remitting – Receiving: social remittances of transnational (re)migrants to Croatia, Lithuania, and Poland, which was published earlier in June of 2023 (Vienna, LIT Verlag, 2023).
